About PANAFEST
Since its inception in 1992, PANAFEST has stood as a beacon for Pan-African unity, remembrance, and artistic expression. Rooted in the resilience of African peoples and the spirit of liberation, PANAFEST is more than a festival, it is a spiritual homecoming, a cultural renaissance, and a platform for progressive conversations that challenge the legacies of enslavement and celebrate the triumphs of African creativity.
Every two years, the coasts of Ghana come alive with rhythm, colour, reverence, and purpose as thousands from Africa and the diaspora gather in a shared journey of healing, dialogue, and celebration.
